The direction where they'll move depends on how many times you jump on them (first jump makes them go to the right second jump makes them go upwards.) Special platforms with a gear on their side: they can move in all directions. Yellow flowers: they will move horizontally when you stand on them. Red flowers: they will descend downwards when you stand on them. White flowers: they will rise up in the air when you stand on them. Mushrooms: they spawn a bunch of Smurfberries around you. Blue crystals: temporarily spawn or despawn nearby platforms. Red crystals: instantly kill every enemy on the screen. Hourglasses: they temporarily freeze the enemies, making them a bit easier to kill.
While invincible, you can simply walk into enemies to kill them without taking damage. Crowns: they allow you to become invincible for a short period. Blue blocks: these blocks will be automatically removed at the end of the fifth Level (after the boss of stage 5.6.) They always prevent access to Smurf Coins, and they are the reason why you'll need two playthroughs to get all the coins. Grouchy can smash these rocks when they are below his feet (his special ability is a "stomp" attack.) Gutsy, Jokey and Hefty can smash these rocks horizontally.
Grey cracked blocks/rocks: they can be destroyed only with the special ability of some characters. It doesn't matter how long your True Blue status lasts, as long as you trigger it in the first place. It's pretty much useless, but remember that there is one achievement that requires you to enter the "True Blue" status on every stage of every Level. While in this condition, every Smurfberry you collect will be worth +2 points. Collect four of these, and you will enter the "True Blue" status. Blue potions: they are spawned by enemies that you "set free". As long as you have one, you won't die by falling off the edges or by getting hit by enemies. There are several objects that you will encounter during the platforming of the levels: To kill (or "set free" if you prefer) an animal, simply jump on his top.
When the game says " set free an animal", it really means "kill him". Without this ability, you can only switch Smurf before starting a stage.
Brainy is the only one that can reach some Smurf Coins thanks to his double-jump special ability.Īt the end of the game you will unlock the ability " Smurf Mode", which allows you to switch among your Smurfs while playing the game by pressing LT/RT. Gutsy is probably the best Smurf to use because of his ability to dash/ram into objects and enemies without taking damage.
